Abstract:

This course has three parts. The first part shows what the physics is, its areas, its philosophy, its methods, its epistemology, and its practicalities. The second part discusses the high energy physics, the history of the discoveries, the classification of the particles, the actual state of this discipline, and the participation of Latin America in the experimental high energy physics. The third part displays its application in electronics, in computation, in new materials, in new technologies, and in medicine.
